Exhibition: Windblown

An exhibition of works by Lansing artist Andrea Eckert will run from July 1-July 29, 2011. Using found objects, oil paint, encaustics, transfer and print processes Eckert’s work explores ideas of femininity, gender roles and history.

Break Dance/B-Boy Youth Workshop

Lyrical Hip Hop Youth Workshop

Japanese Stab Binding Book Workshop for Adults

Japanese stab binding is a traditional technique that produces a book similar to most old time photo albums. The covers and pages are pierced with an awl to make holes for the simple hand stitching which holds the book together. Stab binding is suitable for both soft and hard covers. Accordion Book Making Workshop for Adults

The accordion fold, or fan fold, provides the basis for many sculptural book structures. The accordion can be used as the spine of a book to which the pages are attached or it can stand alone as a folded book. Both ways lead to a surprising number of options! Wheel Throwing for Adults Begins

With a limited class size of four students, you will get one on one attention that will help you discover the art of wheel throwing.
